Studio luminary, Thara Natalie, has immersed herself in the transformative realm of hot yoga for over two decades.
Captivated by the profound benefits of this sacred practice after five years, she embraced the call to become a certified teacher, eager to share this life-altering journey with others. In 2015, Thara unveiled her first sanctuary, Fire Shaper Tenafly. Now, as she celebrates a decade of dedication, she embarks on a new chapter as Spirit Warrior Wellness. This haven harmoniously blends Thara’s fervor for holistic well-being, encompassing hot yoga, meditation, Reiki, and workshops designed to nurture our evolution as spiritual beings navigating the physical realm.

I’ve never done hot yoga before. What do I need to do to prepare for my first class?
Hydration is essential, so remember to nourish your body with water from the day prior to your first class. You’ll need a yoga mat and a large beach towel to cover your mat. Water is a must have as well. All are available for rent or purchase at our studio should you require them.
I’m not flexible. Can I do yoga?
We arrive at yoga to cultivate flexibility, not to possess it beforehand. We eagerly anticipate guiding you toward greater flexibility and strength through a steadfast practice.
What are the benefits of doing yoga in the heat?
The warmth fosters deeper flexibility, melting away tension while guarding against injury, as intensity builds endurance and tones the body. Sweating serves as a purifying ritual, flushing out impurities and leaving you with a sense of renewal. Beyond the physical realm, hot yoga sharpens focus, resilience, and mental clarity, transforming into a moving meditation that nurtures both inner and outer metamorphosis. Step into the heat, challenge your limits, and unlock newfound strength and serenity.
What should I wear?
We advise against heavy garments like sweatpants or T-shirts, as they tend to retain moisture and become burdensome during practice. Most women favor fitted yoga pants paired with a sports bra or tank top, while men often choose shorts and a tank top. Fabrics that wick moisture will enhance your comfort throughout the endeavor.
Should I eat before class?
It’s best to eat about two hours before class, allowing your meal to digest. We also recommend steering clear of heavily processed and sugary foods.
What kind of flooring is used in the hot studio?
We utilize PEM flooring, crafted with safety and cleanliness at the forefront. Its slip-resistant surface ensures excellent traction, even amidst the high humidity of hot yoga realms. This material is antimicrobial, resistant to mold, mildew, and bacteria, creating a hygienic sanctuary that’s simple to maintain. Furthermore, it is gentler on the joints, inviting you to practice with ease.
